Delhi Public School, Bokaro Steel City, established in May 1987. It is in SECTOR 4,5 Bokaro Steel City, Delhi. It has two separate premises that from Nursery to Class V and from Classes VI to XII. FACILITIES: Laboratories Library E-library Clinic Computer Center Games and Sports Virtual Tour SCHOOL RULES: 1. The Almanac and ID Card should be carried by every student, every day. 2. Parents are urged to inculcate punctuality in their ward(s). They must be sent to school on time. If late, they will be allowed to attend classes but marked absent on rolls. 3. Change of classrooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner. 4. Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. 5. Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. No student is allowed to have stylish haircuts. Only general haircut is allowed. 6. Only English should be spoken in the school premises. 7. Other than text books, no books, magazines, C.Ds, Cassettes should be brought to school without the Principal’s permission. Bringing objectionable literature to the school may lead to severe disciplinary action. 8. The school is not responsible for articles lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles like expensive watches, fountain pens, transistor radios, tape recorders, calculators, cameras, cell phone, i-Pods and Jewellery etc. to school. 9. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher, class monitor /reps or to the Principal. 10. Bicycles must be locked. Students must not ride around on the school compound on bicycles. 11. Students who come to school under the care of guardian / attendant / rickshaw-puller should never leave before he/she arrives to take them back. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. 12. Students are warned not to buy anything from the street vendors. 13. Students should be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. 14. The school reserves for itself the right to terminate any student whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is a bad example for others. 15. The name, class, section of the student should be clearly marked on his/her belongings. Blazers and jerseys should also bear the name of the student. 16. Students are not allowed to come to school by self-driven automobiles or two wheelers. 17. Students must come to school in uniform only. This rule applies even when they come to school for any purpose other than attending classes or even after school hours. 18. Students who borrow uniform, from the school infirmiry must return it after cleaning it on the next working day. If the borrowed uniform is not returned on the due date a fine @ Rs. 5/- per day will be charged. 19. Bringing cameras, cell phones, electronic audio and video items, i-pods, freworks etc; bursting crackers, splashing water or colour in the school premises is strictly forbidden even during festival times. Non compliance of these instructions can result in expulsion from the school. SCHOOL UNIFORM: The School is very particular that students should turn out smartly dressed in ‘School Uniform’ as per the school pattern. It is compulsory for all the students to follow the school uniform codes as given below strictly. School Uniform: BOYS Season Classes Uniform Winter Nursery to Class V Pullover (With Monogram) Grey worsted shorts, White shirt Class VI and above Blazer, Grey worsted trousers, White shirt Summer Nur. To Class V White shirt, White shorts Class VI and above White shirt, White trousers GIRLS Season Classes Uniform Winter Nursery to Class I Pullover (With Monogram) Grey worsted tunic, White shirt Classes II to V Pullover (With Monogram) Grey worsted skirt, White shirt Class VI and above Blazer, Grey worsted skirt, White shirt, Grey tight Summer Nur. To Class I White shirt, White tunic Classes II to V White shirt, White skirt Class VI and above White shirt, White skirt SPORTS UNIFORM: All students must wear the sports uniform specified for each house when they have PE. In their class time- table and are participating in any sports activities. The sports uniform for each house is as follows : House House Colour Ganga Yellow Jamuna Blue Raavi Purple Chenab Red Sutlej Green Jhelum Brown BOYS: Classes Nur- V : House colour Jersey and black sports shorts with two house colour strips on each side. Class VI onwards : House colour Jersey and black sports trousers with two house colour strips on each side. GIRLS: Classes Nur -V : House colour Jersey and black sports shorts with two house colour strips on each side. Class VI onwards : House colour Jersey and black sports trousers with two house colour strips on each side. Note: 1. During winter, on PE. days, the students should wear the usual winter uniform but with white canvas shoes. 2. The Jersey should be according to the specified design with small collars.
