BIT Mesra ranked 16th in the India Today Best Engineering colleges of 2012,15th in Outlook India's Top Engineering Colleges of 2012 and 11th in Dataquest's Top Engineering Colleges in India of 2011.

It also ranked 4th in the limited participation CSR-GHRDC's Engineering Colleges Survey of 2011.

It is ranked 3rd in Mint's Top 50 Private Engineering Colleges of 2009.

BIT Mesra to be honest the best engineering institute in India after traditional IITs. Less care for fools' observation.Do not go on admission cut-offs. A high standard engineering institute with paradise glimpse. Bits Pilani is placed higher becoz of his Chancellor Mr. Kumar Birla. Only pump and show rather glossing over the facts.

One of d best after five IITs in India. Bits Pilani does not stand anywhere indeed. Bits Pilani is an NGO of Kumar Manglam Birla. Magazines making unnecessary appreciation. NITs never match BIT Mesra. They are new born babies on national levels.

O man NITs are Municipalities. Look at their infra/campus/jholtan professors and khana(bhusa). Only corrupt practices with govt. fund.

See what has happened in IIT Patna. Shame to IITs. Salo dub maro.

rank means grade of dignity/achievement---. Can any one say with conviction as to those engineering colleges/engineering institutes including IT/IITs /NITs ranked ridiculously so high within ten have dignified India or the world with their achievement?
These so called magazines are following the Goble's Truth. They are paid agents. Engineering Institutes should be evaluated on their infrastructure/past achievements /group of alumni/International & National Collaborations & most important people's years old perception.

No doubt one of the best. All my BITian friends/relatives are attached with very high class international companies with heavy remuneration. BIT Mesra Ranchi is ranked lower due to its location. Had it been in Delhi or in Mumbai, would have been at 2 or 3. I agree best NITs have to wait for 10 years to match it.

This is an example of the great contribution of BM Birla to his nation. An institute of very high repute in the field of engineering & science. BIT Mesra Ranchi deserves much higher rank than shown in many surveys.

On line Test for Engineering is ridiculous. Are those Engineering Colleges producing Engineers or are they making Tech-Baboos (in fact Baboons) for Banking & Insurance?
They have made Engineering- the subject of mockery indeed.And look at those surveys.
They'r Certificate Hawkers. Any one can buy the ranking at will.
