Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust was established in 1984 has set the role ideal of establishing cardinal centre of professional education in various disciplines. Sree Balaji College of Nursing approved by the Indian Nursing Council and Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council and affiliated to Bharath University, Chennai offers the following courses. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) Eligibility One should have passed senior secondary exam minimum of 45% marks in English and each science subjects which includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) One should have completed 17 years at the time of admission. One must produce medical fitness certificate from an authorized Medical Officer to undergo the academic course. Both male & female candidates are eligible. Selection One will be selected by the college selection committee on the basic of merit which will be held through interview of the students. Admission granted is provisional subject to: i) Indian Nursing Council norms. ii) The payment of college & hostel fees. iii) Submission of Eligibility Certificate. Duration Programme is 4 years course including internship Academic Progress i) Minimum pass marks shall be 50% in each of the theory and practical papers separately. ii) One has to pass in theory and practical exam separately in each of the paper. iii) If one fails in either theory or practical paper one has to re-appear for both the papers (theory and practical). iv) Maximum number of attempts permitted for each paper is 3 including first attempt. v) One failing in more than 2 subjects will not be promoted to the next year. vi) The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed 8 years. vii) On successful completion of the programme, one should register with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
