The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in July, 1998.

The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Under Graduate Entrance Exam acronym as BFUHS UGET is conducted by the University for Admission to Doctor courses.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery is an undergraduate Dentistry course.

The duration of Bachelor of Dental Surgery course is 4-5 years of study with internship and without internship, Manipal College of Dental Sciences offers the course in the mentioned formats.

The B.D.S. course is divided into 2 or more semesters.
