Entrance Exam after 12th for Fashion Designing

Students who desire to become a fashion designer are required to appear and pass in an entrance exam as well as a situation test.

The NIFT entrance exam is one of the most popular exams conducted by the National Institute of fashion Technology as for the admission to various courses related to fashion.

Upon clearing the written test, the candidates need to undergo Group Discussion. After that applicants need to be present at a personal interview with the board.

Eligibility after 12th to appear for Fashion Designing Entrance Exams
Candidates who have a pass in class 12 from a recognized board are eligible to apply for this exam.

Applicants who have cleared the general certificate education exam at the advanced level or in any other board/university in our country or foreign countries that are accepted by the Association of Indian universities are suitable to write the exam.

Applicants who have a pass grade in the class X exam that is carried out by any National Open School are eligible to appear for this exam.

Applicants who have a 3 or 4 years diploma that is accredited by the State Board of Technical Education or the AICTE can appear for the exam.

Candidates who have cleared their class 12 can apply for the Fashion designing exam. The candidates must not be less than 17 years and not more than 23 years when they appear for the exam.
