This Foundation Degree in Music Production Program offered by Bath Spa University will give the skills to work as a producer, sound engineer, sound designer, live engineer, composer for multimedia and film, or sound post-production for film and television.


It place emphasis on practical skills for employment, and offer frequent opportunities to record and engineer with other students and professional musicians.


This course is assessed through creative projects, essays, portfolios, technical reports, and presentations. Course Structure

Year 1

One will gain a thorough understanding of industry software including Logic Pro and Pro Tools.
One will learn the latest production techniques in our state-of-the-art digital studio and explore the underlying theory of sound and music.


Year 2

Explore the role of sound designers and music composers in film and television production.

One will learn how to engineer live performances and organise music events, and develop a thorough understanding of current marketing techniques.
