The Students Union of Bath SPA University is a registered charity and its charitable aims to promote the interests and welfare of students during their course of study at University. In doing so it represents, support and advice students on a range of subjects.

It acts as the recognised representative between students and Bath Spa University and other external bodies. It provides social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and forums for discussion and debate for the personal development of its students.

Bath SPA University Equestrian

Bath Spa equestrian society rides at Widbrook Equestrian Centre which is approved by the British Horse Society; the yard boasts an indoor school, international sized outdoor school, jumping school and a cross country course.

Riders are put in groups matching their ability and are given a set time each week to ride. It also has a range of regular social events for the society to socialise, including (weather-permitting) Badminton horse trials.

It looks into organising both inter-society competitions and gymkanas and also against other local schools, universities.
