As per my knowledge only Jain University (JU) offers M Sc Forensic Science in Bangalore. So here I am providing you the details about its M Sc Forensic Science offered by the University.

Forensic Science is the application of science to law and its enforcement. Forensic Scientists examine materials to create or eliminate a link between the suspect and the victim or crime scene.

Teaching Methodology
The teaching method includes lectures, practical, field visits, workshops and seminars. Field visits to government and private forensic science labs, visits to courts.

The courses are basically crafted to meet the budding trends in forensic science which is no more limited to body and property but has entered the world of cyber space too.

Forensic Science can be broadly sectioned into:
Medical – It includes forensic pathology, psychiatry, psychology, forensic medicine, odontology and anthropology

Laboratory – It includes chemistry, biology, toxicology, ballistics, fingerprints, questioned documents, marks and impressions, audio & video authentication and computer science

Field Science – It includes crime scene investigation, fire scene investigation, road / rail / aircraft accident scene investigation and investigation into clandestine drug labs

M.Sc. Forensic Sciences or Master of Science in Forensic Sciences is a postgraduate Forensic Science course.

Eligibility
Candidates must have passed B.Sc. preferably with Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, Microbiology, B.Pharm, BDS or Applied Science.
