Banaras Hindu University provides M.Sc in Computer Science course . It is located at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh .

Eligibility Criterion

Applicants must holds B.Sc degree.
Applicants must have minimum 50% marks are mandatory.
Applicants must have studied computer science as a main or subsidiary subject in all the three years at under graduate level.

Admission Procedure
Admission to M.Sc Computer Science is on the basis of a national level entrance exam.
Syllabus of the exam is based on the topics covered under qualifying degree.
Test having 150 multiple choice questions.
Duration of the test is 120 minutes.

Applicants who have qualified the admission test will be short listed for interview.

The department of Computer Science's main objective is to provide trained manpower in the area of Computer and Systems Sciences and to promote state of the art research in Computer Sciences, Applications and related areas.

The Master of Computer Science (M. Sc.) Program is a two year (four semester) course open to graduates in Mathematics stream having studied Computer Science as one subject (Pass/Hons.) in all three years of graduation. The program gives emphasis on Theory and Systems in Computer Science and is one of the highly sought after programs of its type in the country.

The minimum eligibility conditions for admission to various' Master's Degree
programmes shall be as under +:

(a) For M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Computer Science@,
Geography, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Home Science, (2 Year : 4
Semesters programmes)
and
M.Sc. (Tech.) Geology (3 Year: 6 Semesters programme)
A B.Sc. (Hons.)*/B.Sc.* under 10+2+3 pattern, securing a bare minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc.
programme). The subject in which admission is sought must be an Honours
Subject at B.Sc. (Hons.) level/subject studied in all the three years at graduate
level. However, for admission to M.Sc. in Botany/Zoology, a candidate must also
have offered Chemistry as one of the subjects at the graduate level at least for
two years. For M.Sc. in Statistics, the candidate should also have studied
Mathematics as one of the subjects at graduate level at least for two years.
