CET exam conducted by Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra for admission into B.Ed Course in various B.Ed colleges in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra BEd CET Tentative Date:-

Examination - Common Entrance Test (CET):- 14-June-14

Examination - English Language Content Test (ELCT):- 14-June-14

Exam Pattern:
The CET will comprise of the subjects
Mental Ability,
Teacher Aptitude and
General Knowledge

Duration: One hour

Category Wise Reservation is as follows:-
Scheduled caste and scheduled caste persons who have adopted Buddhism: 13%
Scheduled tribe: 7%
De-notified tribes (14 similar tribes) (VJ/DT): 3%
Normadic tribes (28 tribes before January 1990 and similar tribes) (NT-1) B: 2.5%
Normadic tribe (Dhangar and similar tribes) (NT-2) C: 3.5%
Normadic tribe (Vanjari and similar tribes) (NT-3)D : 2%
Other backward classes: 19%

Total: 50%

Maharashtra B.Ed CET is an entrance exam for teaching aspirants want to pursue B.Ed courses in Maharashtra.

Till the date for Maharashtra B.Ed CET exam is not announced. Generally entrance Test held in month of July.

Eligibility:

Candidates who have graduation/post graduation degree in any faculty from a recognized university are eligible to apply.

Candidates belonging to open category should have secured minimum 50% marks and those candidate belonging to backward class (SC, ST, VJ-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC) should have secured minimum 45% marks .

Candidates from universities outside Maharashtra belonging to all categories are required to secure a minimum 50% marks .

Maharashtra BEd CET Paper Pattern:-

The CET will comprise of the following sections namely, Mental Ability, Teacher Aptitude and General Knowledge of 50 marks and will be of one hour duration of objective (multiple choice) questions

Medium of CET: Medium of CET will be Marathi/English only.

Along with CET, the English Language Content Test will be conducted for 50 marks for the candidates who are desirous of seeking admission in English medium colleges. Only those candidates who will secure minimum 36% marks in the ELCT will be eligible for Admission to English Medium Colleges of Education
