Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Cell conducts MAH B Ed CET for admissions Bachelor of Education (General) and Bachelor of Education (Special Education) course in the Government, University Managed, and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH B. Ed CET:-

Maharashtra State Candidates:

(i) One should be an Indian National and should have passed Bachelor Degree and/or Master Degree with subjects Sciences and Mathematics/Social Sciences (History/ Geography/Economics/Political Sciences/ Psychology/ Philosophy/ Education/ Library)/Humanity Sciences (all languages and literature)/Commerce and secured minimum 50% marks (Minimum 45% marks in case of Backward Class categories).

OR

(ii) One should be an Indian National and should have passed Bachelor Degree and/or Master Degree with subjects in Engineering and Technology/ (with Science and Mathematics as a Special subjects) / Bachelor Degree with the subjects Management / Engineering / Computers / Law/Information / Technology / Agriculture/ BBI / Medical Sciences /All Social Sciences / Fine Art / Performing Art (Music/Dance / Drama etc.) and secured minimum 55% marks (Minimum 50% marks for Backward Class categories).

OR

One should have passed Bachelor Degree recognized as an equivalent degree by the Government of Maharashtra, to the Bachelor Degree and/or Master Degree in subjects mentioned in (i) and (ii) above.

OR

One should have passed any Bachelor Degree given by Open University integrated by an act of the Central or State Legislature.

OR

One should have appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC act, 1956.


Other State Candidates:

One should be an Indian National and should have passed any Bachelor Degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC act, 1956 of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India/NCTE with minimum 55% of marks for all categories.

OR

One should have appeared for the final year exam of any Bachelor Degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC act, 1956 of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India/NCTE. One can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the degree exam with minimum 55% of marks.
