The undergraduate program - B.A. Degree (Economics) – offered by Azim Premji University is designed to help produce economists who are socio-politically engaged, quantitatively adept, historically informed and philosophically grounded.

The Economics Specialisation component will consists of 48 credits. This will consist of 36 credits from within economics and 12 credits that can be obtained from a series of allied courses.


Eligibility


Class 12 / Pre University certificate from any recognized Indian Board or any valid international certificate equivalent to the Class 12.

One appearing for the final examinations is eligible to apply.

One who has completed Class 12 / Pre-University board exam previous year is also eligible to apply.

The admission is provisional till proof of successful completion of Class 12 / Pre University study is provided.

One should not be older than 19 years of age while joining the programme and should have successfully completed 12th standard exam (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks.

It also accepts SAT, KVPY and other national entrance test scores for admissions.


For CBSE/ State/ISC Board
• One has completed Class 12 board exams in any Indian board and you have a score of 50%.
• Or Appearing for Class 12 final exam


For IGCSE/Cambridge Assessment International Education
• One has appeared for or successfully completed at least 3 subjects at the GCE Advanced Level.
• One has obtained a recognized 10th standard certificate from an Indian or foreign certifying Board or Cambridge IGCSE or O Levels with at least 5 subjects including English.


For International Baccalaureate Board
• One has appeared for or successfully completed the IB Diploma /Certificate and obtained at least 24 points from a total of at least six subjects with minimum of 3 subjects at higher level and 3 subjects at standard level.
• One has obtained a recognized 10th standard certificate from an Indian or foreign certifying Board.


Age Limit
One should not be more than 19 years of age while joining the programme.


Admissions

One will go through an entrance test to assess the English language and quantitative capacities and written component to assess writing and analytical skills.

Shortlisted applicants will be called for personal interview.

The Application form is available on the University website.

SAT and other test scores will also be accepted.
