Applying procedure for BHEL Summer Training

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is one of the largest public sector enterprises in India dealing with the sectors of Power, Transmission, Industry, Transportation, Renewable energy, Oil & Gas and Defence.


The procedure for applying for summer internship program in BHEL is very easy. BHEL every year issues a notification regarding the dates for starting training programme. This notification is released in first week of March.


For applying as a summer intern one need to go to Human resource and development center (HRDC) of BHEL. One can select minimum of 2 weeks training to maximum of 8 weeks training. The training fee is different according to no. of weeks.

Electrical
Electronics
Civil
Computer Science/IT
Mechanical
Metallurgy


Eligibility Criterion

One must be a student of 4th or 6th semester pursuing B-tech in either of Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy or Computer Science/IT streams. One should secure 65% or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters.


Age Limit

The age should not be more than 27 years.


Selection Procedure

One will be selected on the basis of written exam performance conducted by BHEL.

Written test will be of objective type, wherein 70% of weight age is assigned for the technical subjects and 30% for the aptitude

A list of students who cleared the written test is prepared and the selected candidates are called for the interview.

Final selection list is made by assigning a weight age of 75% for written test marks and 25% for interview marks.

Candidates of SC/ OBC/ST category, who are not selected for the interview, will be regrouped for further consideration with their categories respectively.
