Crime Branch CID (Criminal Investigation Department) is a specialized wing in many state police forces in India in Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recruits Police personnel through the Civil Services Examination in three levels:
(IPS cadre)
State Public Service Commissions
By the District Police Headquarters
Its other branches of the CID are
State Crime Investigation Bureau
Finger Print Bureau and Scientific Section.
CID Eligibility
One needs to appear for and clear the CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam conducted by SSC board every year.
Citizen of India
Graduate from a recognized university in any discipline are eligible for CID exam. (Criminology)
Age must be in between 20 to 27 years old.
Age relaxation is provides for SC/ST/OBC category.
The maximum attempts for:
SC/ST candidate is Unlimited.
OBC candidate it is 7 years
General candidate it is 5 years.
The selection process is contain in two stage
In first stage written test:-
General question - 200marks
English- 200 marks
Then an interview of 100 marks |
