Established in 1794 as a survey school, and 1858 as a Civil Engineering School, it is one of the oldest engineering institutions in the country.

Ranking-

College of Engineering, Guindy has been ranked as the 48th best Engineering College of India in the Edu-Rand Rankings of 2015.

National Institute of Technology Hamirpur-

The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (abbreviated as NIT Hamirpur or NITH) is a public engineering college situated in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India.
