Deemed University means that the University is founded by UGC. University Grants Commission appointed by the Govt. of India is the highest body to oversee the functioning of higher educational institutions in India. Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 empowers UGF confer the status of "Deemed University"to institutions for higher studies other than Universities.

Every year the university conducts examinations for even semester in MayJune and for odd semester in NovemberDecember.
