Hey buddy Mr. Ashok Chauhan is the founder of the Amity University

He was felicitated with "Excellence in Education Award" during National Congress on "Building New India through Excellence in Education" by Ramakrishna-Vivekanand Internation Foundation

He also works for the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, established in 1986, which is one of India’s leading philanthropy, education, and development foundations comprising Universities, Higher Education Institutions, Schools, Pre-schools, Forums, Academies and Centres of Research & Excellence.

Chauhan was born in India, as one of seven siblings.

He is married, and has two sons, Atul and Aseem.

He lives in New Delhi. Chauhan graduated and after receiving a scholarship from the German government, moved to Germany in the 1970s.

According to his son, Atul, it was in the 1980s that Chauhan thought of entering the education space.

In the mid 1990s, Chauhan founded Amity, and then in 2005, he founded Amity University, which became the first private university in India
