University of Allahabad was founded in 1887, it is a public central university and it is the fourth oldest University in India.

Selection process:
The admissions made through entrance test, practical test by the University.

You will have to give combined research entrance test which was held in 30th Aug, 2015

CRET-2015 Shall has three Levels (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3) of Tests / assessments.

Level 1 Test (multiple choice objective type test for assessing general awareness, academic aptitude and subject proficiency)
Level 2 Test (subjective test for assessing subject expertise and research aptitude) shall be by means of Written Tests, to be conducted by the University.
The Level 3 Test shall entail an interview and may include Presentations.
