Will you give me name of the Academic Council members of Allahabad University with their designation in the council? Is the Prof. G.C. Nandi is the Dean of the Academic Council ? Please give me detail about his education qualification and contact detail ?

I completed UG degree and planning to take admission in University of Allahabad located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Will you provide list of members available at Allahabad University Academic Council also provide university address and contacts so that I can visit there?

The University of Allahabad, informally known as Allahabad University, is a public central university located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Established on 23 September 1937, it is the fourth oldest modern university in India

Academic Council of Allahabad University


The Academic Council shall consist of the following members, namely:-
The Vice-Chancellor;
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, if any;
The Deans of the Faculties;
The Dean of the Research and Development;
The Dean of Students Welfare;
The Dean of College Development;
The Librarian;
such Heads of Departments, Directors of University Institutes and Heads of Centers not comprised in any University.
One Professor, one Reader and one Lecturer from each Faculty selected by rotation in order of seniority of Professors, Readers or Lectures as the case may be, of the concerned Faculty;
The Directors of the Constituent Institutes;
One Professor (not being director) of each Constituent Institute selected by rotation in order of seniority;
Two Principals of constituent Colleges selected by rotation in order of length of substantive service as Principal;
Two members of the academic staff (not being principals) of constituent Colleges from each group of subjects assigned to a Faculty of the University selected by rotation in the order of seniority as such members of the academic staff of the concerned group of subjects; and
Five persons not being persons of academic excellence in the service of the University or a college or an institution admitted to the privileges of the University, to be co-opted by the Academic.
The term of office of members (other than ex-officio members) of the Academic Council shall be three years.
Twenty-five members of the Academic Council shall form a quorum for a meeting of the Academic Council
