As you want to get the Paper Pattern of Air Force Common Admission test, so here I am pr5oviding you same.

AFCAT Examination Pattern
Time:
For AFCAT written test duration is 2 hour.

Questions:
Total questions are100 in the examination paper of AFCAT.

Maximum Marks:
Maximum mark for the paper is 300.
Each question carries 3 marks.
For every wrong answer there is penalty of one mark.

In AFCAT Examination paper question comes from these subjects:

English:
The English portion contains questions from Unseen passage, synonym, antonym, correction of sentences, finding grammatical error, meaning of words, collective term for a phrase etc.

Current Affairs:
The candidate’s knowledge about the recent events of national and international importance is checked in this portion. The questions can be asked from anything recent like sports, awards etc.

General Awareness:
In this section the candidates are asked about the different subjects like history, geography, polity, science etc. The questions are very basic in nature and the standard isn’t very high. A normal person with sufficient intelligence can answer them if he/she have studied the basics and revised them before the exam.

Mathematics:
There are about 15 questions in mathematics. They range from topics like ratio and proportion, speed distance and time, percentage, profit and loss and basic questions of algebra. The level of mathematics is of 10th and the nature of questions is moderate.

Reasoning:
The reasoning part consists of verbal and non-verbal reasoning. It contains questions on series, completing the pattern etc.

Air Force Combined Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by India Air Force for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty Branches of the IAF after the successful completion of the courses.

Courses Offered are:

Flying Branch:

Short Service Commission Course

Technical Branch:
Aeronautical Engineers Course (Permanent Commission)
Short Service Commission Course

Ground Duty Branches:
Ground Duty Officers Course (Permanent Commission)
Short Service Commission Course


Eligibility Conditions for Flying Branch:

Age Limit:

Candidates should be between 19 years to 23 years as on 1st Jul. 2015.

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in any subject area with 60% Marks from a recognized University or Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology of 4 years with 60% Marks. Candidates must be passed 12th Examination with Maths and Physics.

Physical Standards:
Minimum Height: 162.5 cms with correlated weight
Leg length: Min-99 cms. Max-120 cms
Thigh length: Max-64cms.
Sitting height: Min-81.5 cms Max-96 cms
Vision – 6/6 and 6/9


Eligibility Conditions for Technical Branch:

Age Limit:

Candidates should be between 18 years to 28 years as on 1st Jul, 2015.

Educational Qualifications:
For Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L):
Candidates must have minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Instituion of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India.

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M):
Candidates must have minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Instituion of Engineers (India).

Physical Standards:
Minimum Height (Men) - 157.5 cms, (Women) - 152 cms with correlated weight


Eligibility condition for Ground Duty Branches:

Age Limits:
For Graduates: 20 to 23 years
For Post Graduates/LLB (5 years): 20 to 25 years
For LLB (3 years): 20 to 26 years
For M.Ed/Ph.D/CA/ICWA: 20 to 27 years

Educational Qualification:
Administration and Logistics:
Candidates must have Graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Post Graduate degree/equivalent diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

Accounts:
Candidates must have Graduate degree in Commerce (B.Com) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com)/CA/ICWA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

Education:
Candidates must have Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
