AIIMS PG 2016 national level entrance exam conducted by All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) for admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in various courses offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences

AIIMS PG entrance exam is conducted twice in a year, one for January and other for July session.

AIIMS PG Eligibility:

MBBS degree from a recognized university by Medical Council of India with minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an aggregate of 50% marks if he/she belongs to SC/ST category

For JulySession: Candidate must have completed the required 12 Months rotating internship/practical training on or before July 30, 2016 if they are applying for AIIMS PG 2016 for July session

AIIMS PG 2016 Exam Pattern:

For MD/MS:

Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)

Number of Questions: 200 Objective based multiple choice questions

Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes

For MDS:

Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)

No. of questions: 90 Objective based multiple choice questions

Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS
