AIIMS Nursing Entrance Test

I am interested in the field of medical and planning to give the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) nursing entrance exam. Will you please tell me what the different eligibility criteria for AIIMS Nursing Entrance Test also provide me important dates for this exam?

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conduct entrance examination for those candidates who wants to take admission in nursing Courses

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam 2016, an entrance test for those seeking specialisation in nursing.

Courses: At present, the nursing entrance exam evaluates students for two different nursing courses.

The B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) course.
The B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing course

Eligibility criteria

For B.Sc (Hons) Nursing

Only female candidates can apply and must be an Indian Citizen.
Must be or will be 17 years old by 31st December 2016
Should have passed 10+2 curriculum or an equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics or Biology with 55% ( 50% for SC/ST) or more in aggregate

For B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic)

The candidates Should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent.
Must have a Diploma in Midwifery and General Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institution.
Male nurses (for those who passed before 2003) must have a certificate in General Nursing and instead of Training in Midwifery, a 6-months training in any of the following: Leprosy Nursing, TB Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Neurosurgical and Neurological Nursing, Cancer Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing.

AIIMS Nursing Exam dates:

Entrance exam
2nd week of June

Result notification
3rd week of June

1st round counselling
July

2nd round counselling
August

Open counselling
September
