Re: AHPRA IELTS Validity

To work as a health practitioner in Australia, one needs to apply for and be registered with the relevant national board as an Overseas Practitioners in AHPRA or Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

One may also need to apply for a visa issued by the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection (Australian Immigration Department).

These two application processes are entirely separate and success in one does not automatically guarantee success in the other.

Internationally qualified applicants must meet the registration standards of their health profession which includes the English language skills registration standard and the Criminal history registration standard.
