The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board was established on 1 November 1973 as an independent recruitment agency in pursuance of the recommendations of the Gajendragadkar Committee.

The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board is conducting UGC exam for candidates.

Exam Pattern:

Selections for the Agricultural Research Services Examination is comprises of written exam containing two papers followed by a mandatory viva-voca only for those eligible candidates who have applied for the Agricultural Research Service in the application form and fulfill other requirements.

Details of the written Exam:-
Subject Maximum Marks Duration
Paper 1 (General) 200 02-01-2002
Paper 2(Professional) 200 02-01-2002


Viva-Voca (100 Marks) only for those eligible candidates who have applied for the Agricultural Research Service

Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board will hold viva-voce in the application form and fulfill other requirements.

Total Marks for the whole Exam: (200+200+100=500 marks)

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have done Master Degree from any approved university.

Age Limit:

For all the above posts, appliers’ age should be minimum 21 years and Maximum 32 years for ASRB Exam and above 21 years for NET.

Relaxation in age will be applicable as per the government rule.
