Is there any age relaxation for physically handicapped person in government norms? Give complete details including maximum age limit?

Here I am giving you all details about Services for the physically handicapped or Special Categories of Candidates. Physically Handicapped Person means a person who has any injury, disease or congenital deformity include: i) Blindness or low vision; ii) Hearing impairment; iii) Locomotors disability or cerebral palsy Blindness refers to a condition where a person suffers from total absence of sight, or visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses; or limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Locomotors disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. Reservation of Vacancies: 3% vacancies in the public sector are reserved for the disabled persons, 1% each for Blind, Deaf and Dumb and Orthopaedically handicapped. Age relaxation: Upper age limit of disabled persons is relax able up to 10 years and for disabled persons belonging to Scheduled Caste/Other Backward Classes, the maximum age relaxation of 10 years is in addition to the age relaxation of 5 years and 3years respectively permissible for these two categories. |
