Age Limit to Join CRPF
What is the minimum age limit required to join the Central Reserve Police Force, give me complete details about the age criteria required for it? Is there age relaxation provided to the reserved category students to join Central Reserve Police Force?

I completed 12th and want to join Central Reserve Police Force CRPF want eligibility details. Can you tell what the Age Limit to Join CRPF also provide other eligibility and quliaifcations?

Central Reserve Police Force was established as the Crown Representative's Police on the 27th July'1939. It became the Central Reserve Police Force when the CRPF act was enacted on the 28th of December 1949. The force is now 77 years old. Age Limit to Join CRPF The age of the candidate should be between 18-25 years of age. CRPF Eligibility criteria: To become a CRPF officer a candidate must have passed intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination. Apart from this, a candidate must be able to type 35-40 words per minute in English, 25-30 words per minute in Hindi. Other requirements: A minimum of 170 cms. (5 cms. Relation for Adivasis or Tribals) Chest-81 cms. (A minimum of 5 cms. of expansion; tribals 77-82cms for the male candidates. The physical requirement for the female candidates 157 cms. of height (154-155 cms. for Adivasis or Tribals) Eyesight Near Vision (corrected vision) J.I (better eye); J.II (worse eye) Distant vision – better eye (corrected vision) - 6/6 or 6/9. Worse eye 6/12 or 6/9 Flat feet, Knock knees, squint in eyes and physical defects ruled out Pay Scale: Constable - Rs.7,000 Head Constable - Rs.9,000 Sub Inspector- Rs.13,800 Assistant Commandant- Rs.16,200 The CRPF is deployed to perform a broad gamut of duties which includes: Crowd control Riot control Counter militancy/insurgency operations Fighting Left wing extremism Overall co-ordination of large-scale security arrangement (especially during elections in sensitive areas) VIP protection Environmental degradation checking Fighting aggression Participating in UN Peace Keeping Mission Rescue and relief operations (during natural calamities) |
