After MCA am I eligible for IES Exam

Tell me am I eligible to participate in IES exam after completing MCA programme???

NO you are not eligible for IES after MCA, bcoz IES criteria needs:

Degree in :
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communications Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

IES (Indian Engineering Services) is an exam conducted for the post of engineering in government.
The IES exam is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility:

Age limit
Candidates of age between 21 – 30yrs till 1st of January of the year of examination are eligible for IES Exam.

Qualification
The Candidates having an Engineering degree from any recognised university of India or Msc degree from specialised branches are Eligible for IES Exam.

Final year students can also apply for the IES exam.

Number of attempts
4 attempts are allowed for General candidates for IES Exam
7 for OBC are allowed for OBC candidates for IES Exam
No limit for SC/ST/others for IES Exam

Hey as per my idea if you had done your B.E/B.Tech in following stream then you are eligible

Must have B.E/B.Tech degree in following stream:

Mechanical Engineering.

Civil Engineering.

Electrical Engineering.

Electronics and telecommunication Engineering.

Age limit:

Age must lie in between 21 to 30 years. 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Nationality:

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Number Of Attempts:

4 Attempts for General candidates

7 Attempts for OBC candidates

No limit for SC/ST candidates


Selection procedure:

Preliminary exam,

Main exam,

Interview.
