Yes you can join Indian air force after passing BE or B tech engineering degree courses through CDS exam. Here I am giving you information about required eligibility for combined defense service examination organized by union public service commission Educational Qualifications: IMA & OTA Degree of a recognized University or equivalent Air Force Academy You have to passed B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or you must complete Bachelor of Engineering course from a well recognized university. Naval Academy You have to passed B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics OR You have to passed Bachelor of Engineering degree from a well recognized university Age-limits: 19-24 Years Indian Military Academy 19-22 Years Naval Academy 19-23 Years Air Force Academy 19-25 Years Officers’ Training Academy Exam pattern : Scheme of Examination: Written Examination (a) For Indian Military Academy Naval Academy and Air Force Academy 1. English (Objective type) 100 Marks 2. General Knowledge (Objective type) 100 Marks 3. Elementary Mathematics (Objective type) 100 Marks Total 300 Marks (b) For Officers’ Training Academy 1. English (Objective type) 100 Marks 2. General Knowledge (Objective type) 100 Marks Total 200 Marks Marks for SSB Interviews IMA, NA and AFA 300 marks OTA 200 Marks Application Fee: For General and OBC category candidates: Rs. 200/- SC/ST/Female category candidates are exempted from application fee. CDS Exam Syllabus Subjects for CDS Exam English General Knowledge Elementary Mathematics Elementary Mathematics Syllabus Arithmetic Number System-Natural numbers, Integers, Rational and Real numbers. Fundamental operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, Square roots, Decimal fractions. Unitary method-time and distance, time and work, percentages, applications to simple and compound interest, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation. Elementary Number Theory- Division algorithm. Prime and composite numbers. Tests of divisibility by 2,3,4,5,9 and 11. Multiples and factors. Factorisation Theorem. H.C.F. and L.C.M. Euclidean algorithm, Logarithms to base 10, laws of logarithms, use of logarithmic tables. Algebra Basic Operations, simple factors, Remainder Theorem, H.C.F., L.C.M. Practical problems leading to two simultaneous linear equations or inequations in two variables or quadratic equations in one variable & their solutions. Set language and set notation, Rational expressions and conditional identities, Laws of indices. Trigonometry Sine x, cosine x, Tangent x when 0 deg < x < 90 deg Values of sin x, cos x and tan x, for x = 0 deg, 30 deg, 45 deg, 60 deg and 90 deg Simple trigonometric identities. Use of trigonometric tables. simple cases of heights and distances. Geometry Lines and angles, Plane and plane figures, Theorems on (i) Properties of angles at a point (ii) Parallel lines, (iii) Sides and angles of a triangle, (iv) Congruency of triangles, (v) Similar triangles, (vi) Concurrence of medians and altitudes, (vii) Properties of angles, sides and diagonals of a parallelogram, rectangle and square (viii) Circles and its properties including tangents and normals, (ix) Loci. Mensuration Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangle and circle. Areas of figures which can be split up into these figures (Field Book), Surface area and volume of cuboids, lateral surface and volume of right circular cones and cylinders, surface area and volume of spheres. Statistics Collection and tabulation of statistical data, Graphical representation frequency polygons, histograms, bar charts, pie charts etc. Measures of central tendency. |

Eligibility criteria : >> you should be citizen of india . >>> your should be qualified for engineering course secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together from a recognised university . >>> your age should years 18 to 28 years . >>> if your below the age of 25 years then you should be Unmarried. >>> If your an final year engineering student can also eligible to apply for this examination , but you should submit the degree mark sheet and 15 days prior to commencement of training. University entry scheme : you should be citizen of india . your should be qualified for engineering course secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together from a recognised university . if your final year student then can also eligible to apply but you do not any backlog { or } arrears of previous semesters and then only your eligible for examination . If your below the age of 25 years then you should be Unmarried. your age should be 18 years to 28 years . For engineering graduates there is a test called EKT(Engineering Knowledge Test) Duration is 1hr It have 2 parts 1-part: General Engineering 2-part: Specialized paper for your respective course(Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electronics & Instrumentation/Computer Science & Information Technology) If shortlisted Officer Like Qualities (OLQ) Tests which includes Psychological tests, intelligence tests, Group Tests and Interview Finally a medical test |
