Graduates of any stream are eligible to opt for Journalism Courses. Entrance Examinations for Journalism Admission into institutes offering courses in Journalism are held during May – July every year. The Entrance Test generally includes a Written Test and is followed up with Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Journalism Courses : Disciplines at an Institute of Mass Communication : Print Journalism. Advertising and Public Relations / Public Relations and Corporate Communication. Journalism and Mass Communication ( covering all aspects of Communication like Electronic / Print / Web / Advertising / Public Relations and Traditional Media ). Communication Management / Communication Studies Radio and Television Journalism. TV and Video Production, Digital Media and Web Journalism. Journalism Career Prospects : The Indian Media and Entertainment sector is expected to cross a turnover of 1,00,000 crore by 2011 from 43,700 A large number of Newspapers and Magazines mark their presence in the Indian Media World. Only the TV channels require at least 10,000 – 12,000 entry – level recruits in the next 2 – 3 years. |
