After BA Hons Eligible To Join Merchant Navy

I have completed my BA Hons and 31 years old and now I want to join Merchant Navy.Am I eligible for it or not?

As you have completed your graduation in BA Hons stream and you are 31 years old and now you are seeking job in Merchant Navy,but let me tell you that you are not eligible for it.


Eligiblity Criteria:
Admission is open to both unmarried male and female applicants ; age should not be more than 20 years (on 1st September of the entry year): those belonging to the SC/ST have this rule relaxed by about 5 yrs.


Applicants need to show proof of completing 10+2 system or equivalent, having passed Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as elective subjects.


Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on the Joint Entrance Examination given by the IIT; a merit list is prepared after the written test and interview
Director General of Shipping has the authority to chose which of the 2 training programmes the applicants is best suited for.


Both the T.S. Chanakya and MERI institutions do help in recruiting their graduates in suitable Indian Shipping Companies.

Hey you cant join the Merchant Navy after BA Hons as you can only join the Merchant navy if you have done your bachelor's degree in nautical science or mechanical or marine engineering.


Eligibility

You should have passed your 10+2 with physics ,chemistry and mathematics with minimum of 60% marks

Minimum height should be 157 cms for the male and 152 cms for the female candidates.
