There is no minimum percentage required to apply for Indian engineering service examination. Yes you are eligible to apply for Indian engineering service examination after passing B.Tech with 56 % marks .

IES exam Educational Qualifications
You have to pass a degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Age-limits
21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.

IES exam is conducted to fill vacancies only in these four departments:

Will you tell me that am I eligible or not for IES exam after completing B.Tech with 56% as I want to appear in IES exam ?

Yes, you are eligible for IES exam after completing B.Tech with 56% as for IES exam graduation in engineering stream without any backlog is required there is not any percentage criteria.

Eligibility criteria :

Candidate should have BE/BTECH degree in any stream.

OR

Passed section A and Section B of Instution examinations of Institution of Engineers
Or

Graduate Membership Examination of Institute of electronics and Telecommunication Engineers

Age-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years

Age relaxations:
OBC gets 3 years
SC/ST gets 5 years


Number of attempts :

For general :- 4 times
For OBCs :- 7 times
For SC/ST :- 9 times

Selection Procedure :
Written Test
Personality Test


Written Examination pattern
