After 12th from Commerce How to Join Merchant Navy

I have completed my 12th from Commerce stream now will you please tell me that how can I join Merchant Navy ?

Yes you can join Merchant Navy after 12th as an officer by doing some courses.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:
Candidate must have age between 16-25 Years

Medical Standards:
Candidates should be physically and Mentally strong, fit for sea-services under standard norms

Eye-Sight:
6/6 without glasses, No color Blindness

After 12th by joining these courses you can become Merchant Navy Officer:

3 month Pre-Sea Course in Deck rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course in Engine rating.

4 month Pre-Sea Course in Saloon rating.

Eligibility for these courses:
Candidate must have 10th passed certificate with minimum 40% marks with Mathematics, science and English as compulsory subject.

Candidate must have 40% marks in each of them.

Duration of this course:
06 months

Age Limit:
Candidate must have age between 17 to 25 years.
