The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Armed Forces Medical College serves as a tertiary referral centre for patients from the Armed Forces and their dependants as well as ex-servicemen all across India south of the Vindhyachals and southern Rajasthan.

Facilities

• Burns centre with10 beds, trained burns matrons, facilities for early tangential burns excision and grafting
• Hand surgery clinic with reconstruction in common and rare congenital deformities, post traumatic reconstitution/ restoration and reconstruction, with physiotherapy and occupational therapy
• Cleft and Cranio-facial surgery clinic for cleft lip and palate and cranio-facial clefts and anomalies
• Aesthetic clinic with Rhinoplasty, Mammaplasty, Otoplasty, Abdominoplasty ,Liposuction and fat grafts for body contouring, Post bariatric body contouring, Scar revision, Scar modulation
• Brachial Plexus Injury Clinic with neurotization / free functioning muscle transfers/ tendon transfers for functional restoration
Post burn deformity reconstruction: Joint contractures, Hypertrophic scarring
• Oncoplastic surgical reconstruction with microvascular free flap techniques
• Operating microscope and micro-surgical setup for reconstruction
• Micro training lab for residents
