Re: AFCAT Overview

Indian Air Force (IAF) is conducting the Air Force Common Aptitude Test (AFCAT) exam.
AFCAT conducts 2 times in year February and August.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: –

Flying Branch: – Candidate’s age must be 19 year to 23 years

Technical Branch: – Age of candidates must be from 18 years to 28 years.

Ground Duty Branch: – Minimum age is 20 year up to 27 years.

Education Qualification

Flying Branch: –
Candidates must be completed their 3 or 4 year Bachelor degree such as B.E/B.Tech with 60% marks from any recognized university.

Technical Branch: –
Candidates must be done their Engineering course with 60% marks in stream of Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electronic engineering from recognized university.

Ground Duty Branches: –
Candidates must have the Graduation with 60% marks or 50% marks in Post Graduation in any stream from recognized university.

Exam/ Test Pattern

Candidates can prepare for the exam according to the exam pattern.
100 MCQ will be asked in Question paper. Each correct answer will carry 3 marks and 1 mark deduct for wrong answer.
Duration of exam will be 2 hour (120 Minutes).

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the behalf of written test, Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, and Medical. All these tests will be conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs).
