Re: AFCAT Abbreviation

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. This test is conducted by the Indian Air Force for selection of officers in all branches of the IAF .

Eligibility Criteria to appear AFCAT exam:

Eligibility Criteria (MALE):


Flying Branch ( 199/16F/SSC/M Courses)

Age: 20 to 24 years

Educational Qualifications:
Graduates (minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university


Technical Branch:
Age: 20 to 26 years

Educational Qualifications:
Candidate should have Aeronautical Engineer degree.


Ground Duty Branch :
Age:
20 to 26 years

Educational Qualifications:
Administration and Logistics:

Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate

Accounts:
Graduate Degree in Commerce (B.Com)


Education:
Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks

Eligibility Criteria(Female):

Age Limit:
Candidates age limit is 20 to 24 years for Flying Branch, 20 to 26 years for Technical Branch and 20 to 26 year


Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess Graduation in any discipline or B.E/ B.Tech with 60% marks for Flying Branch.

cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks for Technical Branch .
Graduation with 60% marks/ P.G degree/ Diploma in any discipline/ C.A/ ICWA with 50% marks for Ground Duty Branches.
