As the course details are not mentioned it is difficult to give answer.
Generally for graduation courses like Arts and Commerce admission is on the basis of merit.

Also for few law institutes like ILS too admission is on merit.

For most of the engineering colleges you need to appear for the entrance exam.

For most Post Graduation courses you will definitely need to appear for the entrance exam.

According to my knowledge no one college is situated in Pune that offer admission without any entrance examination .. for admission in M tech you have to pass any post graduate engineering entrance examination ..
