Admission Procedure in Class 9th Sainik School

Can you tell me about the procedure of admission in Sainik School in Kazhakootam after in class 9th?

For admission in Sainik School in class IX one need to clear the AISSEE (All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination) Exam. There is a written test on first / second Sunday of January every year.

All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2015: 4th January, 2015 ( Sunday )

Subjects for Written Test
Mathematics and Science for 2 hr
English and Social Studies for 2 hr

The Question papers for class IX will be in English only.

Interview & Medical Test
The boys who qualify in the written test is required to appear for an Interview and Medical Test.

i. All Sainik Schools in India.
ii. In Kerala State, Candidates can take the test at any of the following centres provided at least 20 candidates appear from that centre: - Kazhakootam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kavarathi (Lakshadweep).

Interview& Medical Test

The interview and medical test is held at selected places

Kazhakootam Sainik School Age Limit 2015 :
For Admission to Class VI : Born not before 02 July, 2004 and not after 01 July 2005 ( both days inclusive ).
For Admission to Class IX : Born not before 02 July 2001 and not after 01 July 2002 ( both days inclusive ) and should be studying in class VIII in a recognized school.

Class VI : 85 to 90 and
Class IX : 05 to 10

Category wise Reservation of Seats :
15% for SC and 7.5% for ST, 25% for Defence category ( for sons of Serving and Ex-service Personnel ).
