Admission Military Schools

Can you tell me how to get admission in Rashtriya Military Schools in India after completing class 10th as I want to admit my son in it?

Rashtriya Military Schools give admission from VI to XII Standard. Its branches are located in various places such as Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Karnataka. The schools are affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education. Admission is done on the basis of common entrance exam which is conducted by the institute.

Eligibility Criterion for Class IX and Class XI

Boys whose age is between 13 - 15 years are eligible to apply.

A pass in class VII from a government recognized institution is the minimum requirement for eligibility.

Boys whose age is between 15 - 17 years of age are eligible to apply.

One needs to pass their matriculation from a recognized board so as to be eligible.

Admission procedure in Rashtriya Military Schools

Rashtriya Military Schools often conducts entrance test for the selection of eligible candidates. This condition is applicable only for students seeking admission to class VI and class IX.

The entrance exam is conducted at various centers all India. Usually the entrance exam is conducted in the month of December every year.

The entrance exam contains two sections. The first part comprises of a test paper in English for 125 marks. Candidates get questions from Mathematics for 200 marks and from General Knowledge for 75 marks.

Medium of instruction is in English and in regional language. To qualify in written test the candidate has to secure a minimum of 50%.

Candidates also required to pass the medical test conducted by the institute.

Candidates seeking admission to class XI are not required to write common entrance exam.

Admission to class XI is based on the score obtained in the qualifying exam.
