The Kalyani University invites Online Application form from Graduates of recognized Universities for admission to the B.P.Ed. Course for the session 2018

B.P.Ed. Admissions-

Duration: 2 years or 4 semesters (As per latest NCTE Regulation)

Eligibility:

Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter College / Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU /IOA /SGFI / Govt. of India.
Or
Bachelor's degree in physical education with 45% marks.
Or
Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory, elective subject.
Or
Bachelor's degree with 45% marks and having participated in National / Inter University / State competitions or secured 1st , 2nd , 3rd position in Inter College / Inter Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IOA/ SGFI/ Govt. of India.
Or
Bachelor's degree with participation in international competitions or secured 1st, 2nd , 3rd position in national / Inter University competitions in sports and games as recognized by respective federations AIU /IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.
Or
Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers / coaches)

Admission Procedure-

Admission Test will comprise of a Practical Test followed by a written Test and Viva-Voce.

Qualifying marks for Practical & Written Tests are 30%. Candidates who do not qualify in the Practical Test will not be eligible to appear for the Written Test & Viva-Voce.

Candidates will be required to appear in Six Practical Test items:

1) 50m. Dash;

2) Standing Broad Jump;

3) Shuttle Run (4X10m.);

4) Putting the Shot;

5) 800m run for men & 400m run for women;

6) Any one game from the following-For Men - Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Hockey, Table Tennis, Track & Field, Badminton, Gymnastics. For Women - Badminton, Table Tennis, Handball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Track & Field, Gymnastics.

Application Fee

Application fee is Rs. 300/- for General candidates and Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates.
