No, one cannot get admission in B.Tech Second year in BITS, Pilani campus because the institute does not offer admissions through Lateral Entry Scheme. Aspirants who have completed 12th standard with PCM from a recognised board and who have qualified in BITSAT entrance examination are eligible to get admission in BITS campus.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani) welcomes applications for BITSAT 2016, which is a PC based online test for admission to the accompanying Integrated First Degree Programs of BITS Pilani, at Pilani Campus, Goa Campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the scholarly year 2016-17

Qualification Criteria for BITSAT

1. For admission to any of the First Degree projects of BITS aside from B. Pharm - Candidates ought to have passed the twelfth examination of 10+2 framework from a perceived Central or State board or its comparable with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and satisfactory capability in English.

2. However applicants with PCM may likewise apply for Pharmacy program.

i. BITSAT Test Format

It is a three hour test, offered to aspirants on computers at dedicated centers in different cities in India and at the Dubai campus
The test comprises of four parts:
Part I: Physics
Part II: Chemistry
Part III: (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning
Part IV: Mathematics or Biology (For B.Pharm candidates)
All the questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice
Each correct answer fetches three marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of One mark (-1mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted
While the aspirant can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as correct answer; there will be 150 questions in all
