Intelligence Bureau ( IB) Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO), exam pattern, I am giving here:

IB ACIO written Examination contain 2 papers namely paper I and paper II.

Paper I has objective type multiple choice question and paper II has descriptive type question only on English language.

Total Examination duration for both papers is 100 minutes.

Candidates must have concentrate on General Awareness/General, Knowledge, Reasoning, Comprehension and Mathematical ability topics for paper I.

Paper II is to check English writing skill and analytical capability of candidates so candidates will focus on letter writing, passage writing, comprehension, Essay and other important topics.

Comprehension: The section will judge the candidates basic understanding over the English language.

General Awareness and General Knowledge: In this section Current affairs, Business, science, politics, banking, research, economy etc,,.

Reasoning: Similarities and Differences, Space Visualization, Observation, Decision making, problem solving, Non verbal series etc,,.

Mathematical Ability: Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between numbers, numbers system, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, averages, ratios averages, percentage, ratio and time, time and work, use of tables and graphs etc,,.
