The Utkal University, set up in the year 1943, is the seventeenth most seasoned University in India. Its present grounds at Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar is situated on a sprawling 399.9 Acre zone in the heart of Bhubaneswar

There are at present twenty-seven Post-Graduate Departments situated in the University Campus for Post-Graduate studies and research in different controls of Science, Humanities, Business Administration, Social Science, Law and Commerce. The aggregate number of understudies in the P.G. Division of the grounds at Vani Vihar is about 3,000. This is in truth the biggest affiliating University in the nation with around 267 subsidiary Colleges (Degree Colleges-219, Professional College-44, Other Constituent Colleges-2) under its locale.
