Re: 12th Private Candidate eligible for IIT Exam
Yes, off course private students are eligible to appear in IIT-JEE entrance exam. There will be no issue for the private students as long as they can complete 12th class from a recognized board. For example if you have completed 12th privately via CBSE board, you can appear for the IIT-JEE entrance exam. In order to do that there are criteria for the IIT-JEE which you must meet: Eligibility for IIT-JEE The admissions to the Undergraduate Programs in Engineering, Architecture and Sciences at all IIT institutions for Indian and Foreign nationals are made through the Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE ). You must complete class 12th in Science stream from a recognized board. Minimum marks you should have secured in 12th board 60%. SC/ST candidates are required to secure 55% marks in 12th board. The percentage requirement for Other Backward Class is same as for the general category candidates (60%) Each candidate can attempt to clear JEE two times in consecutive years. To make it simple, if you appeared in the JEE exam in 2010, you are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE If you can meet these criteria that it does not matter whether you have completed 12th from regular or private board. You can appear in the IIT-JEE exam. IIT JEE Question Paper |
