Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is a public institution established by the Government of India, located in Guwahati, in the state of Assam in India. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in India.

The M. A. Programme in Development Studies is a multi-disciplinary programme and was initiated in the year 2009. The programme is designed to provide an understanding of various perspectives of development issues, through rigorous course works and guided research.
Duration : 2 year
Number of the Admission Seats : 48 seats.
Admission Criteria
The admission is conducted through an entrance test for which the announcement is made around the month of February, March. We follow reservation norms as per government rules. The test is conducted in the month of June.
