Introduction
Central Tuber Crops Research Institute began functioning as a research institute under ICAR in July 1963. Central Tuber Crops Research Institute All India Coordinated research project on Tuber crops operates from this institute and is having fifteen centres spread throughout the Tuber crop developing fields of India. The Institute is too one of the centres of All India Coordinated Research Project on Harvest and Post harvest technologies. Central Tuber Crops Research Institute allows for information on crop improvement, production, protection and crop utilization and biotechnology.
