Introduction
Arid Forest Research Institute, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), is the Institute under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), a self-governing body of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India. The aims of the Institute are to contain out scientific research in forestry and allied areas to raise the productivity and vegetative cover, to maintain the biodiversity and to formulate the technologies for the end-users, particularly in the hot arid and semi-arid region of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Havelli.
