Somaiya Vidyavihar targets to allow for its students, pregnant and relevant education that stresses both the liberal and master aspects of higher education, steeped in rich Indian culture and inheritance and rooted in universal religious philosophies of the world.
Somaiya Vidyavihar was established by Padmabhushan Late Shri K.J. Somaiya in 1959. An enterpriser, philanthropist and a visionary, he securely conceived that modern education had to have its roots in strong values. This underlying theme and legacy of Somiaya Vidyavihar was continued and fortified by the late Dr S.K. Somaiya.
