University of Madras Faculty of Arts

The University was coordinated in the Model of London University. The Publics postulation dated 11-11-1839 started the organization of Madras University. The University area of Jurisdiction has been limited to, however, 3 districts of Tamil Nadu in recent years. Madras University is the mother of nearly all the Old Universities of Southern India. This University has been development from intensity to strength while extending its teaching and research actions. The UGC has recognized the University as one of the Centerfor possible of excellence in the Country. The University has been licensed by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with the five star evaluation first and latter with an A rating.
