The University of Delaware (also known “UD” or “UDel”) is the biggest university in Delaware. The primary campus is in Newark, with satellite campuses in Dover, Wilmington, Lewes and Georgetown. It is medium-sized – about 16,000 undergraduate and 3,500 graduate students.

The University of Delaware celebrated its 161st commencement ceremony ended the weekend. almost 4,000 thousand Blue hens graduated from the University of Delaware Saturday morning. University president Patrick Harker stressed the importance of a well rounded education. Commencement speaker and humanitarian Catherine Betini told students to use their gifts to help the global. Despite the sluggish economy University of Delaware graduates have high hopes for what the future holds for them.
