The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education came into universe in 1969 by an Act No.14 of 1968. Until 1982, the Board had it’s headquarter at Shimla, which was afterward changed to Dharamshala in Kangra District in 1983. The first examination was carried on by the Board in 1970 at 99 examination centers. Currently, keeping in opinion the enhanced number of candidates and normal geographical specifies of the Pradesh, the Board has found 1650 Examination centers during the State.
